On the eve of the Day of Science Workers, a meeting on scientific and technical activities was held in Samruk-Kazyna.
It brought together the management of Samruk-Kazyna and portfolio companies, as well as the Samgau Center for Scientific and Technological Initiatives.
In 2024, the Fund approved a new scientific and technical policy to accelerate the implementation of innovations and technological solutions in the Samruk-Kazyna JSC group.
The Group’s companies fulfilled their obligations to finance R&D for KZT11.9 billion. By the end of 2024, 4 contracts for financing scientific projects have been signed (they will be completed in 2025), and 20 more projects have been approved.
The effect of the implementation of these 4 projects worth about KZT2.8 billion is expected to amount to about KZT196 billion in the next 5 years (which is 70 times more). For example, one of the projects is a project on a safer and more environmentally friendly way to explore the bowels of the earth by Karazhanbasmunai JSC. The use of non-explosive pulsed electromagnetic sources makes it possible to conduct effectively seismic exploration in complex and environmentally sensitive areas, such as coastal areas, without the use of explosives.
The pulse seismic exploration project will confirm additional oil reserves, as well as ensure an increase in the resource base of the Karazhanbasmunai field by 2 million tons of oil. As a result, revenues are expected to grow by KZT187.8 billion over 5 years.
On April 12, Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of Science Workers.
