On July 13 this year, Natalia Godunova, the Chairman of the Accounts Committee and Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC had a meeting following which they signed a memorandum on conducting the first pilot electronic audit of the Samruk-Kazyna portfolio company.

During the meeting, Natalia Godunova stressed that the digitalization of the state audit is a part of a broad transformation process that has encompassed the state and quasi-public sectors. In the context of digitalization of budgetary processes and the activities of the quasi-public sector, the phased introduction of electronic audit plays an important role. 

In turn, Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO Samruk-Kazyna JSC, noted the importance of state audit, also for improving the efficiency of using budget funds and National Fund resources. 
“We believe that the pilot project “Electronic audit”, which will be implemented in one of the Fund’s portfolio companies, is a very important step towards the digital future,” – he underlined.

According to the Accounts Committee, electronic audit will reduce the administrative burden on audit objects, time and money costs for collecting and presenting information, minimize the human factor, and increase the transparency of audit procedures. Recall that now the information system of the Accounts Committee is integrated with 13 information systems of state institutions and the quasi-public sector.

A pilot audit of the portfolio company of Samruk-Kazyna JSC is planned to be conducted in 2023.

The Accounts Committee expresses confidence that conducting an electronic audit in the largest holding company of the Republic of Kazakhstan will contribute to its development in other government agencies and national companies, increase transparency and efficiency in the management of state assets.
