«Samruk-Kazyna» and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade held a regular working meeting of the Kazakhstan-China Business Council (KCBC) in the investment forum format on September 28, 2015 in Astana.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade of China Lu Pengqi, the Ministry of Investment and Development of Kazakhstan, JSC «NMH» Baiterek », “Deloitte” company, and others.

During the event, the Kazakh and Chinese companies presented their projects in the petroleum, logistics, telecommunications, energy fields, real estate. From the Kazakh side «Kazakhtelecom» JSC, «Kazakhstan Institute of Oil and Gas» JSC, «KTZ Express», SEZ «Seaport Aktau», from the Chinese side – “Hareon Solar Science and Technology Co. Ltd” company, China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) presented their projects.

Bilateral B2B meetings were held in order to attract potential partners to the implementation of investment projects between the two business circles of Kazakhstan and China.

The guests of the forum acquainted with the investment potential of Kazakhstan and the latest trends in the development of investment cooperation with foreign partners.

The business community of China is a strategic investor of «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC group of companies. In particular, China Eximbank finances the construction of a complex for production of aromatic hydrocarbons, deep refining complex at Atyrau refinery, construction of a gas chemical complex (production of polypropylene). The joint business portfolio consist of 39 projects worth a total of about 41 billion dollars.
