“Samruk-Kazyna” JSC signs 5 year syndicated Term Loan Facility for USD 1,5bn

Samruk-Kazyna is pleased to announce the highly successful signing of a 5 year syndicated Term Loan Facility on 27th October, 2015. The Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. a member of the MUFG Group (“BTMU”) was mandated as sole Coordinator, Bookrunner and Mandated Lead Arranger on the Facility which was a debut transaction for the Borrower.

BTMU was joined in this relationship defining Facility by Bookrunner and Mandated Lead Arrangers JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A., Mizuho Bank, Ltd, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and by Lead Arrangers Credit Suisse AG and Deutsche Bank AG. The Facility, which initially signed at USD 1.0bn, contains an Accordion Clause which will enable SK to upsize the deal to a final quantum of USD 1.5bn.

The Facility represents an enormous success for Samruk-Kazyna who has created a syndicate of highly regarded international banks whilst raising financing at competitive terms to back the acquisition of 50% of KMG’s share in KMG Kashagan.
