Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, held a meeting with representatives of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) and China International Capital Corporation (CICC). The HKEX delegation included Christopher Wong, Chairman of the HKEX Listing Committee.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation and further opportunities to strengthen collaboration in international financial markets.

The meeting focused particularly on preparations for the IPO of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (KTZ), scheduled for 2026 on three platforms: HKEX, the London Stock Exchange (LSE), and the Astana International Financial Centre Exchange. A key milestone in the preparations was the successful submission of the A1 listing application to HKEX at the end of June this year.

HKEX (Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing) is Hong Kong’s stock exchange and market operator. Through HKEX, companies can list shares and bonds and raise capital from international investors. It is one of Asia’s largest exchange platforms.

CICC (China International Capital Corporation) is a leading Chinese investment bank. It provides investment banking, financing, equity and bond issuance, M&A advisory, and corporate advisory services.
