The parties discussed progress on joint renewable energy projects and further steps to strengthen their cooperation.

Samruk-Kazyna and Energy China are implementing projects to build a 300 MW solar power plant in Turkistan Region and a 500 MW wind power plant in Karaganda Region. In addition, in September this year, the parties signed an agreement to jointly develop a project for a wind power plant with a total capacity of up to 1 GW in Zhetysu Region.

Particular attention was paid to meeting project deadlines, securing financing and using domestically manufactured equipment.
