Head of Samruk-Kazyna Meets with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) Leadership

Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, met with Eduard Sigrist, Senior Vice President of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), one of the world’s leading providers of container shipping and multimodal logistics, during his visit to Brussels.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to increase cargo volumes transiting through Kazakhstan, expand container services, integrate rail and maritime transportation, and implement digital solutions for supply chain management.
MSC is the world’s largest shipping line and container carrier. The company operates a fleet of more than 900 container vessels and seven cargo aircraft, manages 70 port terminals, and has a network of 675 offices across 155 countries. Each year, MSC transports approximately 27 million containers via more than 300 trade routes worldwide.
