Samruk-Kazyna and the National Mining Corporation Kenya (NAMICO) have signed a Cooperation Agreement aimed at strengthening partnership in Kenya’s mining sector

The agreement provides for joint efforts in identifying, evaluating, and implementing investment projects in the areas of subsoil use and geological exploration.
The document was signed on the Kazakh side by Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, and on the Kenyan side by Joseph Kitilit, Chief Executive Officer of NAMICO.
The National Mining Corporation Kenya is a state-owned mining company responsible for implementing the Republic of Kenya’s policy on the development of the country’s mineral resource base.
