StopFakeIPO is a project initiated by Samruk—Kazyna JSC in order to prevent the activities of fraudsters who use the IPO topic to deceive citizens.

Telegram Channel: https://t.me/stopfakeipo/ Since the announcement of the IPO of JSC NC KazMunayGas, fraudsters have been conducting an active advertising campaign, deceiving citizens on the topics of privatization and IPO. Scammers create websites and mobile applications similar to official resources, use the name KazMunayGas, logos, photos of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and heads of national companies. Scammers offer Kazakhstanis to invest money in the supposedly national company KazMunayGas and promise a quick profit from the sale of oil and gas. 

This is a hoax. Do not trust the promises of fast and 100% profit. Remember, investing in stocks is an investment for the future. No one can accurately predict the behavior of the market, so it is possible to both earn and lose investments on the stock market. The promise of a quick profit is a sign of fraud. Almost all fraudulent resources are created in international domain zones (for example, .com), and their owners are not residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan. 

The main means against fraud is to inform Kazakhstanis about where to get reliable data on privatization and IPO. Such information is available on the websites of Samruk-Kazyna JSC www.sk.kz and JSC NC KazMunayGas www.kmg.kz, as well as on the official accounts of the Fund and KMG in social networks. The StopFakeIPO project will inform about important news related to countering fraudulent actions and about the course of the IPO of JSC NC KazMunayGas, which will take place in 2022. 

The initial placement of shares of JSC NC KazMunayGas will be made on the AIX and KASE platforms. For these purposes, Samruk-Kazyna JSC together with JSC NC KazMunayGas attracted leading Kazakh investment banks. The Fund plans to make the IPO of JSC NC KazMunayGas available to all residents of Kazakhstan, as well as to cover the maximum number of retail and institutional investors. It will be possible to buy shares in various ways: for this purpose, it is planned to use the digital infrastructure of Kazpost, exchanges and brokers, as well as the official Tabys mobile application. 

In order to widely inform the population, as well as to prevent the dissemination of deliberately false information used for fraudulent purposes, the Samruk-Kazyna Fund has launched a specialized Internet resource of the privatization and IPO program – IPO.SK.KZ . The website offers official and up-to-date information about the Samruk-Kazyna 

Fund program in three languages, navigation consists of the latest news of the program, answers to frequently asked questions and information about the mechanisms of protection against Internet fraud using the Samruk-Kazyna brand and its portfolio companies.
