In the near future, the Fund intends to implement 5 priority investment projects in the gas industry. The Asian Development Bank is invited to invest in one of them. This was discussed today at the meeting of Almassadam Satkaliyev, the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna JSC with Evgeny Zhukov, the Director General for Central and West Asia of the ADB.

The parties discussed the Fund’s Reform Program and the possibility of financing by the Asian Development Bank of the QazaqGaz Group of Companies. Attention is also paid to increasing the Fund’s contribution to the socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and improving approaches to tariff policy.
It should be noted that the Fund has started work on implementation of primary infrastructure projects in the field of water and gas supply, electricity generation and rail transport totaling about KZT3.4 trillion. In this work, special attention will be paid to direct support of local businesses and coordination of work with foreign investors.
