Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov and Akim of Aktobe Region Askhat Shakharov visited a newly opened inclusion support room at the D. Kunaev School-Gymnasium in Aktobe.

The new rooms were established with the support of Samruk-Kazyna using funds raised through the annual Charity Samruk Marathon.

In total, these spaces have been opened in 10 schools across Aktobe and will serve more than 600 children with special educational needs — nearly one-third of the total number of children with such needs in the city.

The rooms are organised according to a new concept developed by Samruk-Kazyna Trust together with experts in inclusive education. Rather than being a separate classroom, each room is a modern, integrated space where children can receive comprehensive support from specialists, including a special education teacher, speech therapist and psychologist, as well as participate in physical therapy and creative activities.

The inclusion support rooms feature areas for individual work, pottery workshops and physical rehabilitation facilities equipped with modern equipment and sports equipment. Throughout the year, teachers and specialised professionals will also undergo training in modern inclusive education methods.
