Railway Workers’ Day Celebrated at KTZ

A ceremonial event marking Railway Workers’ Day was held in Astana to celebrate the professional holiday of Kazakhstan’s railway workers.
The event brought together industry veterans, employees, and invited guests. As part of the celebration, a film highlighting the achievements of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) was screened, followed by an awards ceremony honoring the industry’s top performers with state and sectoral awards.
Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, presented the Honorary Railway Worker badge to 10 distinguished KTZ employees.
A further eight employees received industry awards. Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev presented six Honorary Railway Worker badges, the Temirzhol Danky, Third Class medal, and the For Bravery badge.
Elzhas Otynshiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, presented the rotating Best Team banner to 15 enterprises in recognition of their outstanding production and financial performance.
More than 110,000 employees work across the KTZ system.
