The international multisport tournament The Games of the Future Astana 2026 powered by Samruk-Kazyna has officially kicked off in Astana, introducing a new competition format that blends traditional sports with cutting-edge digital technologies. Samruk-Kazyna is the tournament’s title sponsor. The event will run through 9 August.

The tournament’s defining feature is its phygital format. In each discipline, competitors first face off in a digital environment using gaming platforms before continuing the contest in real-world sporting arenas. The final standings are determined by the combined results from both stages.
