The Head of State was briefed on the Fund’s performance over the first five months of 2026 and its medium-term plans.

According to Nurlan Zhakupov, the Fund’s assets under management reached $88 billion as of the end of 2025.

The Fund continues to implement large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. In 2026, it plans to complete 16 projects worth KZT 3.3 trillion, including the construction of the Moyynty–Kyzylzhar and Darbaza–Maktaaral railway lines, a gas processing plant at Kashagan, the modernization of Almaty CHP-2, the construction of a hybrid power plant, and the laying of a fiber-optic communications line along the Caspian Sea bed, among others.

The implementation of these projects will strengthen Kazakhstan’s transport, energy and digital infrastructure, create new jobs, and improve the quality of life for citizens.

The President was also informed that, as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, the Fund’s projects provide support to approximately one million Kazakhstanis annually. In addition, under the nationwide environmental initiative Taza Kazakhstan, the Fund plans to plant 5 million trees across the country. Between 2024 and 2025, a total of 5.8 million trees were planted. Overall, more than 100 social projects worth KZT 856 billion were implemented between 2023 and 2026.

Nurlan Zhakupov also reported that a new NVIDIA B300-based supercomputing cluster is scheduled to be launched in Kosshy in October 2026. Once operational, it will increase the computing capacity of Kazakhtelecom’s supercomputer fourfold. This will significantly expand Kazakhstan’s capabilities in artificial intelligence, data processing and high-performance computing.

Following the meeting, the Head of State assigned a number of tasks related to the Fund’s key areas of activity, including the timely implementation of major investment projects.
