The meeting continued the dialogue on expanding financial cooperation between Kazakhstan and one of the world’s leading financial centers.
The successful placement of Samruk-Kazyna’s debut panda bonds totaling RMB 3 billion and KazMunayGas’s dim sum bond issuance worth RMB 1.25 billion was highlighted. Both transactions demonstrated a high level of confidence from international investors.
A key focus of the discussions was the preparation for the IPO of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC, the national railway company, with a potential listing on major international exchanges, including Hong Kong.
“We expect the successful IPO of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to become an important milestone in the development of financial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong and to lay the foundation for further expanding the presence of Kazakh issuers on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange,” said Nurlan Zhakupov.
During the meeting, Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Invest Hong Kong exchanged Memorandums of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation with Hong Kong’s financial markets and enhancing engagement with partners in China.
