As part of the working visit of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive John Lee to Kazakhstan, a document exchange ceremony was held between Samruk-Kazyna JSC, its portfolio companies, and Hong Kong partners covering a number of cooperation agreements:

• A Memorandum on Cooperation with Hong Kong Financial Markets between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited. The document is intended to strengthen cooperation with Chinese partners and Hong Kong financial institutions ahead of the planned IPO of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC.

• A Memorandum of Understanding between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (BOCHK), providing for cooperation in the preparation of a potential IPO of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

• A Cooperation Memorandum between Samruk-Kazyna Invest LLP and Ewpartners Investment Management Limited, formalizing the parties’ intention to invest in projects for the production of hemodialysis products, including dialyzers and membranes, as well as the implementation of a manufacturing project in Kazakhstan.

• A Memorandum of Understanding between Air Astana and China International Capital Corporation, aimed at expanding cooperation in capital markets, investment attraction, and strategic financial advisory services.

• A Memorandum on Partnership Development between Kazakhtelecom JSC and PCCW OTT (Hong Kong) Limited in the fields of digital media and streaming services.

The documents are aimed at expanding financial, investment, and technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong.
