Strategic Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and Türkiye

A meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Kazakhstan and Türkiye is being held in Astana. During the session, Samruk-Kazyna CEO Nurlan Zhakupov briefed the leaders of Kazakhstan and Türkiye — Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan — on the progress of strategic cooperation between the two countries.
Addressing the Council, he focused on key areas of collaboration, including logistics, the oil and gas sector, and social infrastructure. Particular emphasis was placed on the growth of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, the expansion of air connectivity, and the implementation of joint energy projects in the Caspian region.
Special attention was also given to the construction of healthcare facilities in Kazakhstan and educational infrastructure projects in Türkiye.
The parties reaffirmed their readiness to launch new large-scale projects involving Turkish investors.
