A meeting of the Public Council of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, chaired by Bolat Zhamishev, was held to review the key performance indicators of Kazakhtelecom JSC.
Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhtelecom, Bagdat Mussin, emphasized that the company is focused on developing digital infrastructure, expanding access to high-quality connectivity, implementing key strategic projects, and supporting its employees.
Today, the company serves 1.9 million fixed internet subscribers, 8.7 million mobile users, and 1.2 million TV+ users. Kazakhtelecom JSC operates one of the largest digital infrastructures in Kazakhstan: its fiber-optic network spans 92.6 thousand km, with more than 9,000 base stations deployed and 24 data centers in operation.
One of the company’s key priorities remains expanding access to high-quality internet for residents in the regions. Under the “Tazartu,” “Sapa+,” and “Aul Online” projects, 630,000 households have gained access to high-speed internet. By the end of 2027, more than 1 million rural residents, as well as 1,941 schools and 2,905 public institutions, will be connected to the network.
Implementation of the Trans-Caspian fiber-optic project is ongoing. In 2025, Kazakhtelecom JSC, in partnership with Azerbaijan’s AzerTelecom, began laying a submarine fiber-optic cable along the Aktau–Sumgait route. Marine and desktop surveys have been completed, and the cable has been manufactured and shipped. Delivery to the Caspian Sea is scheduled for April–June 2026, with offshore installation works planned for summer 2026.
