The parties discussed prospects for the development of joint projects, the expansion of international telecommunications routes, and the strengthening of cooperation in the field of digital technologies.
Particular attention was given to a strategically important project being implemented by the portfolio companies Kazakhtelecom and AzerTelecom — the construction of a submarine fiber-optic communication line across the Caspian Sea. The line, approximately 380 km in length, will connect Aktau (Kazakhstan) and Sumgait (Azerbaijan), becoming the first submarine fiber-optic link in the Caspian region.
The project is currently in an active phase of implementation.
It is expected to ensure reliable data transmission, support the development of digital infrastructure, and create conditions for attracting data centers and international Big Tech companies.
The meeting confirmed the high level of partnership and the parties’ shared commitment to implementing large-scale infrastructure projects.
NEQSOL Holding is an international group of companies operating in 11 countries across the telecommunications, energy, high technology, construction, and mining sectors. AzerTelecom is part of Azerconnect Group, which is a subsidiary of NEQSOL Holding.
