Alem Tech Fest 2026, the largest robotics, artificial intelligence and STEM festival in Central Asia, has started in Astana with the support of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund.
More than 5,000 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Estonia, Vietnam and Hong Kong will present their engineering projects at the EXPO site.
The program includes the international Central Asia FIRST Championship, drone football and racing in the Alem Drone League, Battle of Bots robot fights, RoboCup competitions, humanoid robots, rocket science and Hour of AI, where students get acquainted with AI through practice.
According to the results of the festival, the 50 strongest teams of Kazakhstan will be determined. 14 of them will go to the world finals of the FIRST Championship in Houston (USA), the rest will go to international competitions.
The participants of the festival include five teams of the STEM Hanym project, implemented with the support of Samruk-Kazyna JSC. Last year, thousands of female teachers and women with disabilities in Atyrau region were trained in STEM fields, 300 participants received certificates and are now preparing school teams for international competitions.
