During the working visit to China, the Head of the Fund, Nurlan Zhakupov, met with Mr. Liang Hua, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Huawei Technologies

Nurlan Zhakupov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, and also noted Huawei’s significant contribution to the development of the global innovation ecosystem.

During the meeting, they discussed the implementation of a joint project on localization of the production of IT products in Kazakhstan. Projects involving Huawei, implemented in 12 portfolio companies and subsidiaries of the Fund’s group, are currently in the active phase.

The meeting confirmed the mutual interest of the parties in further deepening partnership and implementing joint initiatives in the field of digitalization.

In September last year, during the meeting of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council, an Agreement on strategic cooperation was signed, confirming the mutual status of the organizations as reliable partners.

Huawei is a leading Chinese company supplying information and communication technology infrastructure and smart devices.

The company is represented in more than 170 countries and regions.
