During the negotiations, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Fund’s companies and Austrian partners. Special attention is paid to the development of cooperation in the transport, logistics and oil and gas sectors.

There was a positive trend in cooperation between KTZ and ÖBB Holding (Rail Cargo Group), including on the development of transportation along the Trans-Caspian international transport route. They considered the possibilities of integrating terminal capacities, developing joint logistics services and implementing innovative technological solutions.

Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Fund, expressed confidence that the Memorandum of Understanding signed during the visit between KTZ Express JSC and ÖBB would open new horizons for developing Kazakhstan’s transit potential and increasing trade between Europe and Asia.

Special attention was paid to the cooperation of KazMunayGas JSC with the Austrian company Pörner, on the modernization of bitumen production facilities at POCR, Caspi Bitum and the Romanian refinery Petromidia.

At the meeting, the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan and Association of the Railway Industry of Austria signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
