During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of developing and strengthening cooperation within the framework of existing joint projects.

Nurlan Zhakupov noted that the long-term successful partnership between the Fund’s portfolio company, KazMunayGas JSC, and ExxonMobil has always been based on mutual respect, trust, and shared commitment to achieving strategic goals. This cooperation has enabled the implementation of a number of significant projects contributing to the development of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas sector.

ExxonMobil is one of the largest oil and gas companies in the world, headquartered in Irving, USA. The company started operations in Kazakhstan in 1993 and is one of the first major investors in the country’s oil and gas industry. ExxonMobil participates in Tengizchevroil LLP, in the Northern Caspian Sea (Kashagan) and in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
