Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, met with the leadership of Abu Dhabi Ports Group (ADP).

The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation and key initiatives implemented by the Fund’s portfolio companies in partnership with ADP.

The meeting reviewed KazMunayGas projects in the Caspian and open seas, as well as the development of the tanker fleet. Plans include the construction of container vessels and the creation of a new ferry system for transporting railway wagons within the framework of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route.

The discussion also covered expanding cooperation in the transport and logistics sector. Joint projects between Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) and ADP are contributing to the growth of transit and exports, strengthening connections between Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and enhancing the resilience of global logistics.
