The parties discussed prospects and possible areas of cooperation. They noted the strategic importance of Kazakhstan as a transport hub at the crossroads of Europe and Asia.

Boeing is already cooperating with Air Astana, which operates the Boeing 767. Air Astana has leased three new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery in 2026.

Boeing is also working with VietJet Qazaqstan, which plans to begin operating 737 MAX aircraft in 2026.
