On September 11, a regular meeting of the Samruk-Kazyna Public Council chaired by Bolat Zhamishev on the Keleshek Mektepteri national project was held in Astana.
The project is implemented under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to solve the problems of school infrastructure – shortage of student places, dilapidated schools and three-shift education.
In total, 208 schools are planned to build in 2023-2025 under the national project through Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC.
In 2024, 104 schools with 125.8 thousand student places were put into operation.
By September 1, 2025, 68 more schools with 66.1 thousand student places have been commissioned. By the end of the year, it is planned to complete the remaining 36 schools with 25.4 thousand student places.
The national project covered all regions and cities of republican status. Upon completion of the project, the number of new schools in cities will be 125 (60% of the total), in rural areas - 40% or 83 schools.
“As part of the national project, it was possible to eliminate 4 dilapidated and 41 three-shift schools, as well as to eliminate the shortage of student places in 118 schools. By the end of this year, the issues of 2 more dilapidated, 8 three-shift and 23 schools with a shortage of student places will be resolved”, - Maulen Aimanbetov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna Construction JSC, said.
By the way, after schools are put into operation, on average, the share of Kazakhstani-made goods and equipment used is 78%.
