At a meeting dedicated to the implementation of the Year of Working Professions, the portfolio companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Group reported on the progress achieved.

As part of professional development initiatives, more than 12,000 employees have completed training in initial preparation, retraining, and upskilling. Kazakhtelecom and QazaqGaz led in the number of employees trained.

Training is also continuing under modular programs for engineering, technical, and vocational professions, including Bastau, Orleu, Uzdikter Alany, Kazatomprom Virtual School, and others. To date, these programs have produced 1,783 qualified specialists.

More than 3,000 students have completed internships at the Fund’s production facilities, gaining valuable practical experience.

Young leaders in working professions have also been selected to take part in the 7 Qadam modular training program, which includes two tracks:

  • 7 Qadam PRO — a seven-module pathway culminating in participants presenting production-focused projects.
  • 7 Qadam Master — designed for vocational professionals, focusing on the development of applied skills and professional mastery across seven key areas.
In addition, the Year of Working Professions saw the launch of important social initiatives: Samruk Umіtі, which supports children without parental care in learning vocational professions, and Talimger, which helps orphanage graduates find employment and adapt to independent adult life.
