Nurlan Zhakupov, Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna, visited the production sites of KazZinc LLP during a working trip to Ust-Kamenogorsk.

He was acquainted with the work of the zinc, lead, and copper production workshops and discussed plans for further development with the management of the company.

“Kazzinc is a strategic asset for Samruk-Kazyna, and I am pleased to note that we have managed to reverse the negative dynamics of previous years and that 2024 became a profitable year,” - Nurlan Zhakupov noted.

Kazzinc is a major integrated zinc producer with a large share of associated copper, precious metals, and lead production.

Since 2013, the portfolio company of the Fund, JSC NMC Tau-Ken Samruk, has owned 29.82% of Kazzinc LLP, with the majority stake belonging to the Swiss company Glencore.
