The Samruk-Kazyna’s long-time partner has become a permanent member of the Council of Foreign Investors under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The American company is a prime example of the progressiveness of the Samruk-Kazyna procurement system. Wabtec owns the Locomotive Kurastyru Zauyty. The main customer of the plant is the Fund’s portfolio company - Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. Thanks to the Fund’s procurement system, KTZ ensures a guaranteed volume of sales for the plant.

Thus, LKZ produced 595 locomotives for KTZ and exported 39 locomotives to the CIS countries.
