Nurlan Zhakupov, the Chairman of the Management Board, of the Fund, held a meeting with Mr. Luca Vignati, the Director of Exploration and Production of Eni’s Global Natural Resources division.

The parties discussed the activities of the Italian company in Kazakhstan, including a hybrid project in the Mangystau region.

The hybrid project (power plant) involves the combined generation of electricity from renewable sources (wind and solar) and a gas-fired power plant, which will ensure an overall reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and a stable supply of electricity. 

The total capacity will be 247 MW. The planned launch date for the solar power plant is Q3  2025, and for the gas and wind power plants - 2026.
