Samruk-Kazyna JSC transferred new modern equipment for KZT 393.1 million to N.D. Batpenov National Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics.

The purchased equipment will help to reduce the number of complications due to injuries and musculoskeletal disorders.

Nurlan Zhakupov, Head of the Fund, and Yerzhan Nurlybayev, Vice-Minister of Health, attended the ceremony.

“8 thousand of our citizens with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system will be able to receive more qualitative, high-level medical care per year. I hope that the new equipment will contribute to increasing the level of efficiency of your medical center”, Nurlan Zhakupov said in his welcoming speech.

He also reminded that the Fund, as part of its corporate social responsibility, pays special attention to improving people’s health and quality of life.

Samruk-Kazyna provided new innovative equipment to Batpenov NSCTO: equipment that were included:

• Automatic biochemical analyzer Cobas, which allows rapid biochemical analysis and accurate diagnosis of pathology presence.
  
  
• Richard Wolf laparoscopic surgery instruments will make it possible to perform scoliosis, hernia, and fracture surgeries with maximum precision – without large incisions and without damaging healthy tissue.
  
  
• Mast quadrant retraction system – it provides optimal access to different parts of the spine for complex surgical interventions.
  
  
• Sonopet IQ ultrasound aspirator system performs a variety of surgeries simultaneously, including bone and fibrous tissue surgeries.
  
  
• Multidisciplinary operating microscope Tivato 700 – allows to suture vessels and nerves microscopically, which is necessary for limb preservation in case of injuries, healing of deep defects of soft tissue.
  
  
• Humeca Cordless Dermatome is indispensable in skin transplantation for burns.
  
  
• A set of accumulator power equipment (saw, drill) for all types of bone surgeries such as endoprosthetics, osteosynthesis, osteotomy and many others.
  
  

The total cost of the equipment amounts to about KZT400 million.
