Kazakh-German School to Open in Astana with Samruk-Kazyna JSC Support

Today in Akorda, Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany and the Association of Germans of Kazakhstan “Vozrozhdeniye” signed a memorandum on the construction of a Kazakh-German school in the capital of Kazakhstan.
The document was signed within the official visit of Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The memorandum assumes that the Fund will provide funding for the project, the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan will assist in methodological support of the school, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany will support the development of the curriculum in German.
“Vozrozhdeniye” Association will provide the land plot and coordinate the project.
The school will become part of a global network of German foreign schools providing international education in German to 600 Kazakhstan students.
The school is planned to be constructed by the end of 2025 and in 2026. The institution will open its doors to first students.
