Today, the Kazakh-French business forum has been held in Astana with the participation of Heads of the two countries.

Olivier Becht, the Minister-Delegate for Foreign Trade, Economic Attractiveness and French Citizens Abroad, and Roland Lescure, the Minister for Industry of France, have taken floor at the plenary session. The Head of Samruk-Kazyna, the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CEO of KTZh represented the Kazakhstani side.

In his speech, Nurlan Zhakupov noted that the Fund group of companies has long-standing partnerships with French business. 

Kazatomprom cooperates with Electricite de France on the supply of natural uranium; uranium mining is carried out jointly with Orano Mining, and Framatome is a technological partner in the production of fuel assemblies. Air Astana leases Airbus aircraft, and KTZh buys electric locomotives and components from Alstom. 
The parties are actively working to expand the areas of cooperation. 

An agreement has been reached on the construction of a 1 GW wind power station with Total Eren. A joint venture agreement has been signed in Akorda in the morning of the same day. 

A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Fund and Societe Generale, aimed at financing projects, implementing credit and treasury operations, participating in the implementation of the ESG strategy and asset privatization.
