Mr. Nurlan Zhakupov and Mr. Zhu Hexin are the co-chairs of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council, which has been successfully functioning since 2012. During this time, 6 meetings were held, including during visits of the Heads of State; dozens of agreements were signed, business ties between the two countries were strengthened. CITIC is a long-standing reliable partner of the Fund in the oil and gas sector. Among the joint ventures are the oil-producing Karazhanbasmunai, the producer of road bitumen CASPI BITUMEN.  Work has begun as part of this visit on expanding the capacities of the bitumen plant.  In general, there are many other areas for the development of cooperation, namely petrochemistry (a project for the production of methanol is worked out), transport and logistics, the use of peaceful atom and infrastructure projects.
