Samruk-Kazyna and ExxonMobil Kazakhstan to Expand Cooperation

Today, the management of the Fund has held a meeting with the Managing Director of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan, Cecile Rolin. The parties discussed the implementation of the Tengiz and North Caspian projects and the operation of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. They also discussed the prospects for development of cooperation in the gas industry together with JSC NC QazaqGaz.

The Samruk-Kazyna Fund highly appreciates the contribution of ExxonMobil and expresses its commitment to further strengthening cooperation”, - Nurlan Zhakupov said. For information: ExxonMobil is the largest international oil and gas company with a leading position in the energy and petrochemical industry. The company started its activity in Kazakhstan in 1993, becoming one of the first major investors in oil projects in the Republic. The company owns: • 25% in Tengizchevroil LLP, which is developing the Tengizfield; • 16.81% - under the North Caspian Production Sharing Agreement (NCPSA), which includes the Kashagan field; • 7.5% - in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.
