The Chairman of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC visited key oil and gas facilities of the Atyrau region within the framework of the working visit. One of the central topics of the visit was the issues of ensuring the reliability of work and environmental responsibility of enterprises in the region.

Nurlan Zhakupov inspected personally a 310 MW steam and gas turbine power plant owned by Karabatan Utility Solutions (KUS). The Head of the Fund once again stressed that not only the petrochemical facilities, but also other consumers of the region depend on the reliability of the power plant. “There should not be a repeat of the July situation when the power plant was shut down for many hours due to an accident at the MAEK”, - Zhakupov stressed. According to him, the problem of electricity shortage in the western region is still unfortunately acute. And in this part, the Fund “does not separate the interests of its facilities from the interests of regional ones in any way”.

The Head of the Fund once again noted the importance of ensuring the stability of energy supply at the Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ). “I instructed to select a contractor as soon as possible and start implementing a project on buildingown independent source of energy supply. The plant simply needs it. The company switched to the so-called fuel mode of operation of AI-95. 45-50 thousand tons of this gasoline are produced here per month. The average indicator seems to have grown more than 2 times”, - Nurlan Zhakupov said.
