As part of the systematic improvement of industrial safety, the Fund and portfolio companies regularly conduct training sessions to check their readiness to respond to possible emergencies at work.
Today, an emergency training was held on the topic “Liquidation of an open fountain at a well with a fire and rescue of a victim from a vertical steel tank” at the Zhetybai deposit of Mangistaumunaigas JSC at the specially equipped training ground of Zhetybaymunaigas PU.
The fire and emergency rescue services of the Mangystau branch of Centralized Republican Headquarters of Militarized Professional Emergency Rescue Services LLP and Semser Ort Sondirushi LLP took part in the training sessions. Representatives of the Department of the Industrial Safety Committee for the Mangystau region and the Emergency Department were invited as observers.
During the training, the following measures were demonstrated to eliminate the training accident:
• Cooling of metal structures of wellhead equipment
• Irrigation of the fountain jet to minimize the intensity of heat emission
• Determination of the gas contamination zone and the condition of the wellhead.
• Installation of a hydraulic pipe clamp on the wellhead branch pipe and setting up remote control of wellhead irrigation
• Sealing of the wellhead (elimination of an open fountain) by closing the pipe space by crushing the nozzle
• Silencing of the well by pumping weighted drilling mud into the annulus
The management of Samruk-Kazyna expressed a positive assessment of the results of the accident prevention training. Work in this direction will continue so that the enterprises of the Fund Group always remain ready to respond to possible emergencies at work.
