A solemn event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Tau-Ken Altyn refining plant was held today, which was attended by Nurlan Zhakupov, the Head of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The Head of the Fund noted high production performance of the plant and stressed the importance of extracting precious metals from refining waste.

“The refined gold produced here is supplied to the National Bank of the country. More than 261 tons of gold were delivered over a 10-year period. Tau-Ken Altyn has confirmed the highest quality of its products and has received worldwide recognition as a reliable supplier. In September 2019, the plant received the Good Delivery Certificate from the London Precious Metals Market Association. All these achievements have become possible thanks to an experienced and cohesive team, which reaches new production heights from year to year”, -Nurlan Zhakupov noted.

The refining technology used at the Tau-Ken Altyn plant is unique in the CIS and one of the best in the world. The control system complies fully with international standards. On the eve of its 10th anniversary, the plant received certificates ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Aspects) and ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety).
