More than half of the participants of the Zharkyn Bolashak project gathered in the assembly hall of the Almaty State College of Energy and Electronic Technologies to summarize the results of the first year of study and to celebrate the personal achievements of the children under the charity project “Zharkyn Bolashak”, supported by the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Fund.

92 students from Zhanaozen complete successfully the first academic year in 14 educational institutions of Almaty.

“The first academic year is very important for students. Dreams and plans for the future are formed here, loyal friends appear, adult life begins. This project is not just a great start for all participants, but also a happy ticket to the future”, - Gibrat Auganov said, the Managing Director for Public Relations, Social and Labor Relations and Occupational Safety of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

The public fund “Bilim Foundation” implements the charity project “Zharkyn Bolashak”, aimed at educating children and teenagers in Zhanaozen in the leading educational organizations of the country, with the sponsorship of the Fund for the Development of Social Projects “Samruk-Kazyna Trust”, as well as with participation of JSC NC KazMunayGas. In total, 177 children from the Mangystau region study in 45 different educational institutions in nine regions of the country within the framework of the project. Most of the project participants are educated at colleges and specialized vocational lyceums, another 16 students continue their studies at the best schools in the country.

As part of the final meeting, it was organized an exhibition of educational and creative achievements of the project participants, awarding students and heads of educational institutions who showed special activity over the past academic year. The event was held with participation of Alfiya Adiyeva, the CEO of the Samruk-Kazyna Trust, and Gulshara Abdikalikova, the Adviser to the CEO of JSC NC KazMunayGas, heads of portfolio companies and subsidiaries of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, as well as parents of students studying in the southern capital.  

The participants of the project include 49 students of technical, 10 - pedagogical specialties, 46 students study information technology, 12 - economics and business, 10 students devoted themselves to sports, 11 – creative specialties, 4 students chose medicine, 25 - humanities. Another 10 boys and girls study at the Republican School of Physics and Mathematics. The total cost of the project is about KZT300 million.

It is worth noting that within the framework of the project, two students from Zhanaozencompleted 10-month courses and got a job at the Karaganda Locomotive Depot.
