Dear colleagues, employees of the Samruk-Kazyna Group of Companies!

​April 28 is the World Day of Occupational Health & Safety at Work. This day is dedicated to the memory of workers who died and were injured in the workplace.

​According to official data, in 2022, about one thousand five hundred people suffered as a result of industrial accidents in Kazakhstan. This indicates the need for constant work to improve workplace safety.

​The theme of the World Day of Occupational Health & Safety at Work in 2023: “Safe and Healthy Working Environment - a Fundamental Principle and Right”.

​This right is officially enshrined in the Constitution and the Labor Code of Kazakhstan, and working conditions that meet safety requirements must be created for every citizen.

​We pay great importance to workplace safety in the Samruk-Kazyna Group of companies. We perform systematic work aimed at preventing accidents, improving sanitary conditions, the health of employees, training colleagues in occupational safety and introduction of digital technologies in production.

​Following the results of the last year, working as a team, we managed to reduce the number of the injured people by 16%.

​The analysis of the accidents that have occurred indicates that their cause is not the lack of financial or other resources, but the disorganization of the workflow.

​Therefore, I address to the Heads of all levels, especially the top managers. You are leaders and the example for employees. Let it become your good tradition to start the working day withsafety minute.

​I also address to the employees. Life and health protection depends on our conscious attitude to our own safety. The Samruk-Kazyna Fund guarantees all of you the legal right to refuse or stop work in the event of a potentially dangerous situation threatening life and health.

​I kindly request each employee to demonstrate the importance of occupational safety by their example.

​Dear colleagues, the life and health of people are one of the main priorities for the Samruk-Kazyna Fund. All employees of the Fund Group should return home safe and sound. Therefore, constant and strict compliance with the H&S rules should become a fundamental principle for all of us. I call you all not to forget about it.
