Today in Astana, the Head of the Samruk-Kazyna Fund and the Heads of portfolio companies took part in the round table meeting with Finnish businessmen.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Finland to Kazakhstan as part of the visit of Ville Skinnari, the Minister of International Development and Foreign Trade of Finland.

The meeting gathered such Finnish companies as Wärtsila, Teknos, Nurminen Logistics, EastCham, Metso Outotec, EPSE, Nokia and PayIQ.

The Fund’s group has been cooperating with Finnish companies for several years.

“The relations between our countries are of a strategic nature. Finland is the largest source of investment in Kazakhstan among the Nordic countries. The results of three decades have shown that our countries have established close ties across the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation, including in the trade and economic sphere. Finland is a world leader in technology and innovation, which represent interest for us in terms of development of alternative energy, high technologies and digitalization”, - the CEO of Samruk-Kazyna said in his speech.
