The relevant agreements were concluded within the framework of the official visit to Abu Dhabi of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Kazakh delegation consisted of the Heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Heads of Samruk-Kazyna JSC and a number of portfolio companies of the Fund, including KazMunayGas, QazaqGaz, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. They took part in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week international environmental forum, as well as in the Kazakhstan-UAE investment round table.

Leading UAE companies have shown interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan. Mubadala (state holding), Masdar (alternative energy), Abu Dhabi Ports Group (marine logistics), Aldar Properties (construction), G42 (artificial intelligence), Ayana Holding (architecture and design), Metito (water resources), Al Badie Group (security and defense), Royal Strategic Partners (investments) are among them.

As a result of negotiations, Samruk-Kazyna companies and partners from the UAE have signed a number of agreements. KazMunayGas and Abu Dhabi Ports have signed a partnership agreement on the development of the fleet and creation of coastal/port infrastructure in the Caspian and Black Seas. This will help diversify and increase the supply of Kazakh oil to the world market. The parties will jointly create a fleet of vessels with a shallow draft to service offshore oil fields in the Caspian Sea, as well as a tanker fleet to export oil from the port of Aktau to Azerbaijan. The issue of creating a merchant fleet of container ferries for the Trans-Caspian route (China-Europe) and a fleet of bulk carriers for the North–South route (Russia - Iran) is also worked out.

In addition, QazaqGaz has signed memoranda of understanding with Dragon Oil (produces oil and gas on the Caspian shelf of Turkmenistan) and Petromal National Holding (invests in oil and gas).
