The Reformin Program of Samruk-Kazyna JSC provides for the IPO of several Fund companies, subject to suitable timing, taking into account favorable market conditions.  

The candidates include JSC NC KazMunayGas, Air Astana JSC, JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, QazaqGaz JSC. Yernar Zhanadil, the Managing Director for Development and Privatization of the Fund told about this at the meeting of the Public Council of Samruk-Kazyna JSC.

During the meeting, the members of the Public Council got acquainted with the proposed measures on reforming the Fund in the direction of privatization and restructuring of assets, asked their questions and received comprehensive answers. The format of the open dialogue had a fruitful effect on the work of the meeting. Each participant of the event expressed his opinion on privatization in general, timing, sequence of asset withdrawal, risks and opportunities. 

“The task of the Public Council is to hear representatives of the public and broadcast their proposals to the management bodies of companies. I hope that citizens will be actively involved in this work and will send their ideas, suggestions, responses and comments”, said Bolat Zhamishev, the Chairman of the Public Council. 

As a result of the meeting, specific recommendations were developed, which will be sent to the management of the Fund for consideration in the work.

The Public Council includes representatives of the public, external experts, members of the National Council of Public Trust under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in addition, the meeting was attended by Heads of stock exchanges (KASE, AIFC), representatives of the Association of Financiers and Minority Shareholders, investment bankers, economists.
