Taking into account the importance and significant impact of the GR direction on the activities of the group of companies of JSC SWF Samruk-Kazyna, the Fund together with the Academy of Law of the Astana International Financial Center, has developed a special Certification training programfor the employees of the Fund and its portfolio companies with the general theme “Effective Government Relations: Sharing the Best International Practice”. 

Between November 2021 and April 2022, students will take part in 6 webinars on topical issues of building an effective dialogue with government agencies.

Leading international and domestic experts with extensive experience in the field of interaction with public authorities, international law, activities of large international organizations and multinational companies are invited as speakers. 

On November 29 this year, the training program was launched and the first webinar was held on the topic “Building Relations with the Government, State Bodies and Regulatory Activities”.

The management of the Fund expresses gratitude to Professor I.I. Rogov, a member of the Academic Council of the AIFC Academy of Law - Deputy Executive Director of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Yelbasy, for highlighting important aspects of interaction with government agencies and contributing to the development of special competencies for employees of the Fund and its portfolio companies. 

Today another webinar on the topic: “Practical Forecast - Identification of Destructive Risks Affecting Companies, Industries, Countries and the Future of Competition” was held in the framework of cooperation between the Fund and the Academy, 

Professor Alexander Van de Putte, Director of Strategic Affairs, Chairman of the Academic Council and Chairman of Corporate Governance at the AIFC, shared his unique international experience, as well as best practices and principles of interaction with public authorities.

In general, according to the Fund’s management, events of this format make it possible to share opinion on the ongoing basis between the Fund and portfolio companies on further development of the GR direction, discuss practical aspects of interaction with government agencies and develop jointly common approaches to solving a particular task.

Following the certification session and the results of individual interviews with each participant, a graduation ceremony will be held with presentation of certificates of the AIFC Academy of Law.
