The Board of Samruk-Kazyna announced the appointment of  Nurlan Sauranbayev as Kazakhstan Temir Zholy's new Chairman.  

Samruk-Kazyna CEO Almassadam Satkaliyev presented Mr. Sauranbayev to the team today. 

Mr. Sauranbayev had previously served as the Head of the Department of State Control and Organizational and Territorial Work of the  Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan. He worked as Deputy Minister of Defense, Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Akim of Shymkent in different years. 

In 2010, Mr. Sauranbayev held the position of Managing Director in the "Samruk-Kazyna." Previously, he worked in senior positions in NC "KazMunayGas" JSC and RSE "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy." 

He graduated from the Kazakh State University named after S. Kirov. He was awarded the Orders "Kurmet" (2007) and "Parasat" (2013).
